Transitioning from Kolkata to Delhi to pursue my PGDM at EMPI Business School marked the beginning of a challenging yet highly rewarding phase of my academic and professional journey. Entering a new environment with diverse peers from across India, adapting to a different culture, and learning Hindi as a local language were initially demanding, but these experiences greatly contributed to my personal growth and confidence.

From the very first semester, EMPI provided extensive academic exposure, and from the second semester onwards, the guidance and mentorship from the faculty played a pivotal role in shaping my career path. I am especially grateful to Swati Ma’am (Dean) and Sonali Ma’am (Assistant Professor) for continuously supporting me, helping me choose my specialization in Marketing and Human Resource Management, and guiding me through mock interviews to enhance my communication skills, clarity of thought, and professional confidence.

With the support of the Placement Department, I secured my Summer Internship at Haier Appliances India Pvt. Ltd. in B2B Sales, where I gained hands-on industry exposure, improved my corporate communication, worked on Excel-based reporting, and understood markets across different regions of India. During my third semester, I was further placed with BNM Solutions Real Estate Company (Marketing) as well as Nagarro Software Limited (HR Operations). Currently, alongside my fourth semester, I am working at Nagarro Software Limited as an HR Operations Support Trainee, gaining valuable real-world experience.

The most important part of this journey has been the mentors who supported me and believed in me, helping me grow with confidence. The supportive campus environment and dedicated placement assistance have greatly contributed to shaping my career path.

Serving as the captain of Narayan Murthy House has been a valuable learning experience. It has not only helped me refine my management skills and team spirit but has also taught me how to handle both victory and defeat with grace. The activities organized by various clubs at EMPI have also prepared us to face real-world scenarios. Mock interviews and exercises, conducted by different clubs, simulate actual interview experiences and provide clarity on our strengths and areas for growth. These sessions have been especially helpful, as many final interview questions stem from these mock exercises.
