One morning, I woke up in my hostel with the thought that, today, I am going to experience something new, something I had never experienced before. I felt like a little girl excited to step into a new world, full of eagerness and curiosity to learn something new. Now, you might wonder—what happened to me? What is this new experience I am talking about? So, here is the answer to your curiosity…

Recently, I had the opportunity to intern with MDRA on their ongoing live research project with India Today. This experience became an important step in my professional journey, offered lessons that went beyond academic learning.

While working on the project, a major area of growth for me was communication. Interacting with stakeholders, managing responses, sometimes even handling their anger, and maintaining clarity in conversations taught me how essential effective communication is – in any organization. I learned that communication is not just about speaking but also about listening carefully, responding appropriately, and maintaining professionalism in every interaction. To build long-term relationships, personalization is also very important.

The internship also strengthened my understanding of Customer Relationship Management (CRM). Handling different situations and maintaining positive relationships requires patience and problem-solving skills. These experiences taught me how to remain calm under pressure and approach challenges with a solution-oriented mindset. Working on a real-time national ranking project gave me practical industry exposure and helped me understand the importance of teamwork, responsibility, and accuracy in professional tasks.

Beyond skills, this internship helped me grow personally. It improved my confidence, decision-making ability, and readiness to step into a structured corporate role.

Student Industrial Experience at EMPI

I am deeply grateful to EMPI Business School for continuously creating such valuable industry exposure opportunities for students like us. This institution not only focuses on academic excellence but also ensures that students gain real-world, hands-on corporate experience.

I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to our respected Dean, Dr. Swati Singh, for her visionary leadership and constant encouragement. Her commitment to bridging the gap between academics and industry truly empowers students to step confidently into the professional world.

A special thanks to Nitu Ma’am for her continuous guidance, motivation, and for always encouraging us to seize such meaningful opportunities. Her support played a significant role in shaping this experience for me. I am equally grateful for the guidance I received from my mentors: Rishav Sir, Kamaldeep Ma’am, Vaibhav Sir, and Manveer Sir. This internship was not just a learning phase—it was the beginning of a journey towards becoming a more skilled, confident, and responsible Young Manager.
