EMPI Business School hosted the Workshop on Innovation Development and Entrepreneurial Action for Start-ups in Cyber-Physical Systems (IDEAS-CPS), in collaboration with iHUB DivyaSampark and IIT Roorkee, at the EMPI campus from March 12 to March 28, 2025. At EMPI, nurturing innovation and entrepreneurial thinking is our main commitment. The IDEAS-CPS workshop served as a hands-on learning platform where participants explored cutting-edge technologies, gained insight into startup dynamics, and learned how to turn ideas into business models.

Insights from Leaders, Mentors & Policy Experts  

  • Dr. Ramendra Bahadur Sinha, Founder and Chairman of Agrani Group, highlighted the essential traits and mindset for entrepreneurial success.  
  • Mr. Qaisar N.K. Jani provided an overview of India’s startup ecosystem and its growth potential.  
  • Mr. Nageshwar Kumar explained the key components that contribute to creating a strong startup ecosystem.  
  • Mr. Vivek Kumar Singh, CEO of Innovant, guided participants on effective product development and innovation strategies.  
  • Shri Pawan Choudhary, representing the Government of Haryana, shared insights on government initiatives and policy support for startups.  
  • Mr. Dewansh Poddar from FITT–IIT Delhi emphasized innovation-driven entrepreneurship and collaboration between industry and academia.  
  • Mr. Sudhanshu Ranjan from Navrachna Foundation discussed the important role of incubators in supporting early-stage startups.  

Sessions on Employability, Incubation & IPR Awareness

  • Dr. Amit Mishra from STMicroelectronics and CS Nisha from ICSI led discussions on building careers in technology-driven fields.  
  • A dedicated IPR session by Ms. Pooja Kumar, Ms. Deepika Singh, and Ms. Muskan Tyagi taught participants about patent filing, protecting intellectual property, and safeguarding innovation.  

The workshop also included live project sessions on AI and IoT Applications in Cyber-Physical Systems, where students learned how to apply these concepts in real life. These sessions focused on practical learning, helping our students bridge the gap between theory and application.  

Through the IDEAS-CPS workshop, EMPI Business School and I-Hub EMPI showed their commitment to nurturing entrepreneurial talent and driving technology-led innovation. By combining expert mentorship, industry exposure, and hands-on experience, the initiative set a new standard for entrepreneurial excellence in the Cyber-Physical Systems field, preparing participants to become innovators, founders, and future leaders.
