With the world witnessing unprecedented capitalist fuelled, consumeristic growth and its attendant growth in a carbon based economy, there are massive disruptions that are impacting the various natural eco-systems leading to life itself coming under peril; from climate change, to desertification, to depleting water resources, to farming dislocations etc. EMPI, as a business School anticipating these trends embarked upon creating a platform for sustainability that shall enable Businesses to adapt themselves to sustainable modes. A critical initial area EMPI helped incubate was to create an interdisciplinary innovation platform on Water called ReserWater. 

 

Further, EMPI is involved in connecting institutional initiatives with micro-activities that enable young student managers to become sensitive and responsive to their physical and social environment, especially that of a larger, complex, changing society like India, under the backdrop of CSR and the role of Business therein.Corporate Social Responsibility
