SAMVEDNA – CSR CAMPAIGN
“WARM CLOTHES FOR PEOPLE IN NEED”
EMPI launched a campaign named “SAMVEDNA” to collect and donate warm clothes for the needy in the freezing cold winters of Delhi and North India.
Student Volunteers along with faculty members , Dr. Kathuria , Dr. Ruchi and Ms Vijaylalitha launched the campaign on 25th Dec, 2013 on the Christmas Day which ended on 15th Jan, 2014.
Student volunteers collected warm clothes from faculty members, fellow students and from the neighborhood area of Chattarpur, Satbari and Fatehpur. The campaign got extensive support on facebook and other social media sites. The Resident Welfare Associations of neighbour hood area and alumni also came forward to support the cause.
The donated material was handed over to Goonj, an renowned NGO for distribution to the less privileged ones in the society.
