Session on Circular Economy by Dr. Shyama Ramani
Dr. Shyama Ramani, Professorial fellow, Professorial Fellow at UNU-MERIT (United Nations University) and Professor at Maastricht University, Maastricht, The Netherlands, delivered a session on Circular economy to the students of EMPI B-School. Dr. Shyama established the EMPI model for ‘education for sustainable development’. She explained the key of success of the colonizers that we need to adapt such as cooperation, collective mentality, coordination. Action research programme was laid down wherein EMPIans came up with innovative ideas in the areas of Renewable energy, Hygiene behavior and Water & Sanitation. The program is named as Green Economy Project, where EMPIans will work with scholars from UNU-Merit, Maastricht University, under the guidance of Dr. Shyama Ramani.
