World Water Summit organized by EMPI and Energy and Environment Foundation
World Water Summit was organized by EMPI and Energy and Environment Foundation on 22 March 2018 at Convention Centre, Parliament Street, New Delhi. The event was supported by Ministry of Water Resources, River Development & Ganga Rejuvination; Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Govt of India; Skill India and Niti Aayog. Some of the EMPI students managed the smooth conduct of the whole event.
The Summit other than having key members from the Govt. of India included international speakers like Mr. Dennis Abraham, Managing Director,
Josab India Pvt. Ltd., Sweden; Dr. Emilio Gabbrielli, Director, Overseas Business Development, Global Sales Water Treatment, Toray Membrance USA Inc, Brazil; Mr. Neil Jeffery, Chief Executive, Water & Sanitation for the Urban Poor (WSUP), UK amongst others. H.E. Ms. Harinder Sidhu, High Commissioner of Australian High Commission to India was the Guest of Honor at the event.
The summit focused on synergies between water security and economic prosperity, finance and technology to deliver clean and safe water solutions for both industries and utilities. The summit also enumerated advancing trends, strategies and developments in Drinking Water, Sanitation, Agriculture and Irrigation, Waste-Water Management, Conservation and Reuse, Water Sustainability - Harvesting – Conservation, Innovative R&D Solutions and Quality Management, Water Education, Skill and Training, Technologies for Water Rejuvenation, etc. Overall it was a great learning experience for the students.
