EMPI, a top management institution in Chattarpur, New Delhi has been selected out of thousands of applicants by NITI Aayog, Government of India under their Atal Innovation Mission (AIM) to set-up a first of its kind Atal Incubation Centre, specially focused on Renewables, Smart Energy and New Electric Mobility with the underpinning of AI & IOT Technologies. The aim of the center is tocreate world-class incubation facilities withsuitable physical infrastructure. Energy Lab, Australia, the largest Energy Incubator in Australia is the technical collaborator.
The center aims to provide comprehensive support to help young entrepreneurs in domains such as Renewables, Smart Energy and New, Intelligent & Electric Mobility to emerge as successful business enterprises that shall transform India. This Centre matches the Government of Indias policy frameworks like that of FAME 1 &FAME 2, non-tariff incentives for green vehicles and a national storage mission; all initiatives oriented to bring about 30% electric mobility by 2022. Also the Government is making a concerted effort to promote solar energy through the Solar Park and KUSUM schemes. Further the incubator goes beyond traditional incubators in playing a pro-active role in shaping and structuring projects of high value and impact and shall engage with Industry, Government and Civil society to define problem areas that require innovative solutions.
Atal Innovation Mission (AIM) is a flagship initiative of NITI Aayog, a policy think tank of the Government of India, to promote the spirit of innovative and entrepreneurial mindset in the country with various programmes such as the Atal Tinkering Labs, Atal Incubation Centers, and organizing challenges such as Atal New India Challenge, Defence Innovation Startup Challenge, etc. Best PGDM Colleges in Delhi Ncr Its objective is to serve as a platform for the promotion of world-class innovation hubs, grand challenges, start-up businesses, and other self-employment activities, particularly in technology-driven areas.
