The EMPI pledge was also administered to the new batch by the senior students Mr. Ronjoy Bezbarua. This was followed by the presentation of students' business cards to the batch of 2014-2016. Ms. Yoshita Ratnam and Mr. Suramya Shome shared their views, learning and experiences during their stay at EMPI till date.

Students were honored with the Merit Award Certificates by the Chief Guest to the students from each department of 2012-2014, 2013-2015 and 2014-16. The awards for Academic Excellence (Grade Point Average) were awarded to the meritorious students, while the GFP (General Fitness for Profession) awards were given to students for their overall outstanding performances.

The Chief Guest, Mr. Sameer Mishra delivered an inspiring speech for the young students about his rise from granite exporting company to become Country Head for Vale India Pvt. Ltd. (a top most MNC in minerals and metals) in a span of only 15 years. He attributed his success to go to the extra mile whenever situation demanded, pains taking abilities and above all focus on goals.

The ceremony concluded with a vote of thanks by Col. N. S. Rana, Professor and Head-PMS, EMPI followed by a sumptuous high tea served for the dignitaries, faculty and students.
