EMPI STUDENTS INTERACT WITH BIG BOSSES OF MARKETING ATTEND “INDIAN MARKETING SUMMIT -2014”
EMPI students attended the 8th Indian Marketing Summit on 14th March, 2014 at PHD Chamber of Commerce, New Delhi. The theme of the summit was India’s Evolving Youth Culture : Opportunities for Brands.
India being one of the youngest countries in the world, with 65% of the population below the age of 30 years has become the focul point of marketing strategies of most brands. The theme of the summit focused on the India’s Evolving Youth Culture: Opportunities for Brands” which exploits the huge marketing potential for marketers.
The Summit was attended by the top notch marketers and academicians, some of the distinct speakers were Mr Anurag Batra ,Chairman & Editor-in-Chief, Exchange4media; Mr Rajeev Gupta, Secretary, Department of Youth Affairs Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports ;Mr Ishaan Sarkar, COO, Kwality Group; Mr Amit Tiwari Director and Country Head Media, Philips; Mr. Sandeep Aurora ,Director - Sales and Marketing, Intel; Mr Mohit Hira, CEO, Hungama Digital Services & Head – JWT Digital India; Ms Ananta Singh Raghuvanshi ;Executive Director-Sales & Marketing ,DLF Universal Ltd; Mr Vineet Sharma ,President, Max New York Life Insurance.
The speakers spoke on various aspects like youth attitudes towards social media, future of marketing based on youth’s taste and preferences, acquiring Gen Y customers, staying relevant in changing market and drivers of customer loyalty.
It was a wonderful learning experience for the EMPI students to directly hear from the Industry Experts, they also interacted and asked various questions from them. Prof. G. Kathuria and Mr. Arnab Bhattacharya accompanied the students at the summit.
