EMPI B School celebrated its 17th Annual Day on 6thApril, Friday, 2012. The event, organized on campus, was presided by Dr. C. P. Srivastava, Advisor, Corporate Affairs, EMPI and Former Secretary, UGC. Our President Mr. Gurnam Saran delivered the welcome speech, with our Director Dr. U K. Neogi presenting the Annual Report. The Annual Report was a compilation of all major events and initiatives undertaken at EMPI during the last academic year. It presented a brief about EMPI’s Kolkata Centre, Scholarships, Placement achievement, BAD Workshop, etc.
The next item was the Awards Distribution Ceremony. The first Award to be given away was the much sought after EMPI Brand Ambassador Award. This was followed by the Pankaj Saran Award for Innovation and Creativity, to students of various programs. Next in line was the Residential Mentor Awards given to the students for their contribution to hostel life.
Our Guest of Honor, Mr. Amit Tandon, Managing Director, Empyrean HR Solutions Pvt. Ltd., then gave invigorating insights into a career in management today and its implications. This was followed by the address of the Chief Guest Mr. N S Rajan, Partner and Global Leader of People & Organization, Ernst & Young. He gave the Students valuable insights about career standards and personal development.
Next, the results of the All India Business Plan Competition 2012 were declared, where Mr. Satyaneesh Dubey from Amity International Business School, Noida was declared the overall winner.
The next event of the evening was a Street Play titled “Bhul Gaye Bhaiya” by EMPIans on social issues and youth awareness. Dr. C P. Srivastava then gave his concluding remarks, speaking about his 15 years association with EMPI and how he had partaken in EMPI’s growth.
The Annual Day celebrations came to an end with Prof. Sushama Khanna, Dean & Director – Outreach (Udai Pareek HR-LABS) delivering the Vote of Thanks. Once again, the Faculty, Staff and Students of EMPI demonstrated how their joint efforts culminated in making the Annual Day Event a grand success.
